Eberechi Eze once again flattered to deceive in a red Arsenal shirt on Sunday afternoon.

The forward had just 21 touches of the ball in a 45-minute stint at the City Ground, hooked at half-time for eventual match-winner Noni Madueke.

The England star's impact on the match was non-existent and his time on the pitch was summed up by falling over in the box, following a good piece of work by Declan Rice, and giving up possession to Forest.

That slip led to Forest breaking away and winning a dangerous free-kick on the edge of the Arsenal box, given away by Rice, who had steamed back to try and make amends.

Four of Eze's 13 passes went astray, leading to just a 69% passing success rate, while he failed to create a single chance and made just one line-breaking pass, with no passes into the final third. He had no shots, no successful dribbles and only touched the ball once in the Forest penalty area, probably that occasion when he fell over.

Eze has had a difficult time of it so far this season, that was his first start in the Premier League and ending after 45 minutes means he has just 130 minutes of top flight football to his name thus far.

But while supporters and pundits alike will rightly talk about the 28-year-old's poor performance, particularly in light of Madueke replacing him and scoring the winner and being named man-of-the-match, there were other Arsenal players who failed to hit the heights they have set.

One of those, who has perhaps gone under the radar in terms of poor performance, was Riccardo Calafiori.

The Italian was given a five-out-of-ten rating by the Evening Standard, as they said:

No influence in attack and his sloppy pass in the first half led to a threatening Forest counter. Relationship with either Eze or Madueke on the left does not look particularly natural. Very quiet.

He was given a six by football.london who saiud: "Sold Gabriel Magalhaes short with weak first-half pass that caused panic. Relationship with Eberechi Eze felt really rusty and Mikel Arteta pulled both to one aside during a stoppage. Improved second-half."

Here at GIVEMESPORT we gave the Italian a grade D in our report card style ratings, icking out that big mistake in the first half and the fact that he was caught in possession a couple of times and was given the run around by Liam Delap, who attacked him at will down his side.

In an attacking sense, Calafiori actually had three touches in the opposition box and had a 95% passing success rate, with 11 line-breaking passes. But he only made three defensive contributions, with two interceptions and one clearance.

Eze's awful showing certainly allowed Calafiori to fly under the radar, and he may well now be looking over his shoulder at Piero Hincapie, who could take his place in the starting XI off him.
