Trabzonspor extended their perfect winning streak under German head coach Thomas Reis to seven matches across all competitions on Sunday, defeating Gaziantep FK 2-0 at home in Week 10 of the Turkish Super Lig.

Albanian midfielder Ernest Muci scored once and provided an assist as the Black Sea side secured their fifth consecutive league victory, maintaining their third-place position with 22 points.

The 25-year-old brought his tally to three goals and six assists in nine league appearances this season.

Gaziantep created the first clear opportunities, with goalkeeper Andre Onana blocking Deian Sorescu in the 34th minute before saving Drissa Camara's angled effort two minutes later.

Trabzonspor nearly broke the deadlock in the 39th minute when Paul Onuachu headed narrowly wide from Sidny Cabral's cross.

The hosts threatened again in first-half stoppage time when Noah Saviolo's shot was turned behind for a corner by goalkeeper Ataberk Dadakdeniz.

Trabzonspor took the lead from the resulting corner in the 45+2nd minute, as Mohamed Salah delivered the ball into the penalty area and Muci flicked it toward the far post for Stefan Savic, whose close-range effort struck the crossbar before crossing the goal line.

The hosts entered halftime with a 1-0 advantage.

Muci doubled Trabzonspor's lead in the 61st minute with a powerful long-range strike from outside the penalty area, leaving Dadakdeniz unable to keep the ball from the net.

Substitute Umut Nayir nearly added a third for Trabzonspor in the 85th minute, but his first-time effort from close range went wide.

The result lifted Trabzonspor to 22 points after 10 matches, keeping them third in the standings, while Gaziantep FK stayed with eight points.
