The latest on the John Cena Classic.

Following the announcement that 17-time WWE World Champion John Cena will be appearing on the November 2nd Monday Night Raw in Brooklyn, New York, WrestleVotes on Fightful Select spoke about the backstage assumption that Cena will be addressing the John Cena Classic.

“There have been multiple meetings and creative discussions about the John Cena Classic, with the company wanting to ensure it looks and feels fresh, @WrestleVotes Radio on @FightfulSelect has learned.

We’re told various individuals who don’t typically weigh in on these types of projects were consulted, including Shawn Michaels and A.J. Styles.

While the initial idea was pitched as a showcase and a milestone program for Club WWE, a source indicated that the event will likely be streamed elsewhere.
