After deciding late that he wanted a career in sports journalism, Daniel worked his way up the ladder in an unconventional manner.
Having opted against university, Daniel worked with Sky Sports as a freelance contributor and translator during transfer windows while also volunteering on several other blog pages and outlets to get a portfolio of content together.
Daniel then worked with Barnet FC as part of their social media team before starting his own website, which focused on football and MMA content.
That eventually led to work with 90min and Reach PLC with The Mirror, Daily Record, Daily Express, and Manchester Evening News.
Following that, Daniel spent two-and-a-half years with Breaking Media covering Everton, Rangers, Leeds, West Ham and other clubs before joining GiveMeSport as a Premier League editor.
As well as football, Daniel is a huge MMA fan and has appeared on YouTube and podcast content too.

Newcastle United will be without Anthony Elanga, Jacob Ramsey, and Tino Livramento for the weekend Premier League clash with Aston Villa, Sky Sports reporter Keith Downie has revealed.
The Magpies have had a mixed start to the season so far with two wins and two defeats in the opening six games, but they were thrashed 4-1 by newly-promoted Coventry City on Monday night in a performance that left many fans worried about what could be coming during the campaign after losing a host of key players during the summer.
Matthias Jaissle is currently dealing with somewhat of an injury crisis within his squad too, with a number of first-team regulars unavailable in recent weeks, but there has been a positive update ahead of the weekend tie at St James' Park.
Writing on his X account, Sky Sports reporter Downie revealed that Brazil international Joelinton is in line to make his first start of the campaign in the game, having recently returned from injury.
The 30-year-old featured for 31 minutes as a substitute against Coventry in what was his first appearance since March, and he is now pushing to line up in midfield alongside £50m signing Nico Gonzalez in the heart of Jaissle's side.
Captain Dan Burn also made his return from injury as a substitute against Coventry, but he is still unlikely to be fit enough to feature from the start, and is expected to be on the bench once again.
Newcastle are expecting Sweden international Anthony Elanga to return to training next week alongside Jacob Ramsey, with both players having started the season in good form before picking up injuries.
Tino Livramento is still expected to miss a couple more weeks and will be unavailable. Amar Dedic could return after being on the bench last time out, while Lewis Miley has been deputising in recent games.
Newcastle's mixed start to the season is courtesy of the manager still trying to find his best starting lineup, and find out which players he can trust and rely on in a tough time.
Against Coventry the performance wasn't good enough, but they also created an abundance of chances that on another day would have gone in and turned the result on it's head.
Changes are needed, and with key players seemingly getting closer to a return to action, it's a great chance for the Magpies to build some momentum and get a win against a Villa side who have also had a mixed season so far, and are coming into the game on the back of Champions League action in midweek.
