Dolomiti Bellunesi suffered a 1-0 defeat against Desenzano in the Coppa Italia Serie C round of 16 at the Zugni Tauro stadium, conceding the decisive goal in the 96th minute. Substitute Liberati scored from a corner kick deep into stoppage time to send the visiting bresciani through to the quarterfinals, where they will face the Team Altamura away.

Despite the late exit, manager Massimiliano De Mozzi navigated the fixture amid an extensive injury crisis that forced several regular starters into action. The hosts created scoring chances during the first half, including an Estrella effort that was ruled offside. With the cup run over, Dolomiti Bellunesi turn their attention back to league play, hosting Lecco in Feltre.

Late Corner Kick Decides Round of 16

The match at the Zugni Tauro stadium remained scoreless through regulation time before the decisive breakthrough arrived in the 96th minute. Following a corner kick, Liberati found space to finish past goalkeeper Abati, sealing the 1-0 victory for Desenzano. The late strike broke the deadlock after a tightly contested cup tie that saw 218 spectators in attendance.

Referee Bortolussi of Nichelino officiated the fixture, assisted by linesmen Singh of Macerata and Allievi of San Benedetto del Tronto. The visitors earned six corner kicks to two for the hosts, while disciplinary action saw yellow cards issued to Agosti, Morreale, and Casanova for Dolomiti Bellunesi, alongside Panelli for Desenzano.

Rotated Lineups and First-Half Opportunities

De Mozzi deployed a 4-2-3-1 formation featuring Abati in goal, protected by a back line of Casanova, Mondonico, Gobetti, and Cossalter. Morreale and Agosti anchored the midfield behind an attacking trio of Beltaief, Clemenza, and Kowalski, with Estrella leading the line. Desenzano countered with a 4-3-3 setup under coach Marco Gaburro, utilizing Cassin in goal behind defenders Reggiori, Baldi, Panelli, and Giorgi.

The first half produced openings for the home side, highlighted by Estrella putting the ball in the net only to see the goal disallowed by the officiating crew. Desenzano introduced Liberati at halftime in place of Millico, a substitution that ultimately paid dividends when the forward struck in the final seconds of five minutes of stoppage time.

Upcoming League Fixture Against Lecco

Eliminated from the Coppa Italia, Dolomiti Bellunesi immediately resume their league campaign. The squad returns to action on Sunday at 14:30 local time (UTC+1) at Feltre, where they will host Lecco.
