Trabzonspor’s victory over KuPS Kuopio in Finland was overshadowed by an injury to Nigeria striker Paul Onuachu, with the club now facing uncertainty over his availability for Monday’s Besiktas derby.

Onuachu started Trabzonspor’s opening UEFA Conference League match and put the Turkish Super Lig side ahead in the 3rd minute. He finished after receiving a superb pass from Salah.

The striker was hurt during another goal-scoring opportunity shortly afterwards. Although he attempted to remain on the pitch, he was unable to continue and was substituted by Franculino Dju in the 9th minute.

It remains unclear whether Onuachu will recover in time to face Besiktas on Monday. BSNSports.com.ng reported that his injury had quickly become the main concern for Trabzonspor despite their away win.
