Barça maintained their perfect start to the ASOBAL League season with a commanding 45-27 victory over REBI Balonmano Cuenca at the Palau Blaugrana, less than 24 hours after beating Montpellier in the Champions League.
Carlos Ortega's side took control early through Luis Frade, Dani Fernández, and Hallgrímsson, building a comfortable 21-13 halftime lead. Cuenca stayed competitive for much of the first half, but Barça's depth and intensity proved decisive in the encounter.
The home side dominated after the break, with Seif Elderaa directing play and Frade, Fernández, and Dika Mem continuing to find the net. Young goalkeeper Sergej Novakovic also impressed, making two saves and scoring from his own goal.
The emphatic win gives Barça six victories from six league matches and completes a successful double-header at the Palau with two wins in under 24 hours
