The big questions hanging over the All Blacks after their Bledisloe Cup cake walk

ARP: Has Beauden Barrett just secured his World Cup place?

Grade the All Blacks after the Bledisloe Cup tests, and were the two blow outs the All Blacks being excellent or the Wallabies being bad?

Should All Black fans enjoy seeing their team repeatedly stomp the Wallabies into the turf, or should the one-sided matches be of concern?

Has Beauden Barrett played himself into contention for more minutes during the northern tour?

RVR: Yes, his performance, coupled with an ever-increasing casualty ward at No 10 and outside back, means he should get a decent trot to conclude the season.

However, it’s hard to see Barrett cracking Rennie’s first-choice 23 when everyone is fit and fighting.

Damian McKenzie has looked the part in the No 10 jersey. Should Dave Rennie consider sticking with him there even when he has his full array of playmakers available?

RK: No. If Love and Mo'unga are fit - and the latter's calf problems since returning to New Zealand are a concern - Rennie has to keep the faith.

It was surprising to learn Josh Jacomb had been instructed to depart Sydney after the warm-ups for Bledisloe II so he could be in Christchurch to represent Taranaki in the NPC semifinal last Sunday.

The uncapped Jacomb could have benefited from getting a run off the bench at first-five in the final 30 minutes at Accor Stadium.

RVR: No.

The All Blacks are in a good spot with Ruben Love and Richie Mo’unga set to scrap for the No 10 jersey leading into next year’s World Cup in Australia.
