Chelsea to offer Estevao new contract despite limited Premier League minutes

Chelsea are planning to offer Brazilian forward Estevao Willian a new contract despite his limited playing time since Xabi Alonso became manager.

Estevao is currently contracted to Chelsea until 2033, but the London club are interested in renewing the agreement even though his existing deal has many years remaining.

According to the Daily Mail, Chelsea want to reward the footballer for his persistence and demonstrate their continued confidence in him. The proposed contract would underline the club’s long-term belief in the Brazilian forward.

Estevao has made five appearances in the Premier League this season without registering a goal or an assist. He has played 29 minutes in the competition.
