Niger finish Azerbaijan U15 World Cup campaign with Mali victory

Niger ended their 2026 U15 World Cup campaign with a 2-0 win over Mali in Azerbaijan.

The Mena secured victory in the quarter-final of the competition’s losers’ bracket B, bringing their tournament to a positive conclusion.

Niger overcame their young Malian opponents by making the key moments count, despite having been placed in the losers’ bracket. Their performance reflected the determination and fighting spirit they had shown throughout the competition.

The result gives the Nigerien side a measure of consolation after their run in the tournament. The team can take encouragement from the commitment demonstrated by its young players from the opening stages through to their final match.

Niger therefore leave Azerbaijan with a victory against their West African neighbours, Mali, as they bring their 2026 U15 World Cup adventure to an end.
