Former Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has expressed his willingness to return to Old Trafford, admitting that he would welcome another opportunity to take charge of the Premier League giants.
The 53-year-old believes there is still unfinished business at the club and has revealed his desire to get another chance in the managerial position.
“Of course it would have been nice to have the opportunity again,” Solskjaer said.
His remarks come at a time when current manager Michael Carrick is facing mounting pressure following a disappointing run of results.
Carrick has been unable to guide United to victory in their last nine matches, leaving the club just one position above the Premier League relegation zone.
Despite the growing concerns surrounding his former club, Solskjaer has thrown his support behind Carrick, insisting that he possesses the qualities required to lead Manchester United forward.
“Michael has what it takes to take that club forward. I think he’s the right man. He understands the club, understands the fans and knows what’s needed,” Solskjaer said.
