After deciding late that he wanted a career in sports journalism, Daniel worked his way up the ladder in an unconventional manner.
Having opted against university, Daniel worked with Sky Sports as a freelance contributor and translator during transfer windows while also volunteering on several other blog pages and outlets to get a portfolio of content together.
Daniel then worked with Barnet FC as part of their social media team before starting his own website, which focused on football and MMA content.
That eventually led to work with 90min and Reach PLC with The Mirror, Daily Record, Daily Express, and Manchester Evening News.
Following that, Daniel spent two-and-a-half years with Breaking Media covering Everton, Rangers, Leeds, West Ham and other clubs before joining GiveMeSport as a Premier League editor.
As well as football, Daniel is a huge MMA fan and has appeared on YouTube and podcast content too.

Manchester United are in crisis, and they will be welcoming AS Roma to Old Trafford on Tuesday night in the Champions League while trying to turn things around.
The Reds fell 2-0 to Chelsea on Saturday afternoon at Stamford Bridge, bringing their winless run to nine games in all competitions and leaving them with just two wins in 13 this season. But INEOS have made the decision to stick by Carrick despite the poor performances and results, with the belief that he can turn things around.
It's understood that the situation will be reviewed during the next international break, which will take place after the weekend clash against Aston Villa on Sunday, which gives Carrick two games to find more results and potentially save his job.
What's clear is that the manager must try new things to get new results, because what he has been doing over the last two months simply hasn't been good enough.
Against Chelsea, Carrick made the decision to leave Youri Tielemans out of the side for the first time since taking over, and the performance was good in the first half especially, with the performance crumbling following Lisandro Martinez's red card at 1-0 down.
But the manager was able to welcome Kobbie Mainoo back into the fold as a substitute after missing several games with a muscle injury, and that will be a major boost to the manager and the team going forward.
Did it happen before or after?
Round 1 of 9
After a big splurge in the transfer market during the summer, Carrick is yet to have had all of his midfield options available to him at the same time. That changes against Roma, and it means there is a chance for him to finally name his top two options alongside each other.
Tielemans has struggled with a lack of athleticism, and covering ground is a major part of the problem United have had. Andrey Santos has been good in recent games too, but defeats have been a regular occurrence, and he doesn't quite have the ability on the ball to be a help going forward.
Baleba and Mainoo offer the perfect balance of athleticism, duel winning, quality on the ball, and ability to carry the ball forward into space, and Carrick will surely now unleash the pair for their first minutes together in what is arguably the biggest and most important game of his reign.
Carrick made it abundantly clear during his interim spell in charge that the midfield was hugely important to how he wanted to play. He wants to control possession, pin the opposition in their own half, and work openings. That hasn't happened this year.
But with a pairing of Baleba and Mainoo, we could finally start to see the image of the manager come to fruition. Roma like to play a similar way, and winning the midfield battle against Manu Kone and Bryan Cristante will be the key to coming out on top.
The attack against Chelsea was dangerous but wasteful, and he has the options in Shea Lacey and Joshua Zirkzee to potentially change things if he wishes. Considering we're now in November, though, it's mad to think that United haven't been able to name their best midfield in a team together at any stage.
That will surely change against Roma, and it could be the kickstart this team needs to be able to finally pick up a victory and turn their season around, and save Carrick's job in the process.
