Kaizer Chiefs hand Amajita rising star DDC contract

Kaizer Chiefs handed one of their rising academy star an official contract with the DStv Diski Challenge (DDC) team.

Kaizer Chiefs have officially handed Amajita rising star Teboho Banele Mlangeni a DStv Diski Challenge (DDC) team a contract.

Mlangeni has previously been a feature in Amakhosi DDC team’s matches but he was mainly in the youth structures.

He had been used mainly in the Gauteng Development League (GDL) but he appears to have done enough to be promoted.

The 18-year-old midfielder has made strides since being given the chance to impress in the DDC team.

Mlangeni will now work on improving and eventually getting into the Chiefs senior team in the near future.

He is a full South Africa youth international having featured for the U17 where he represented the country at the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) and the FIFA World Cup.

Mlangeni recently played a role in helping Amajita win the 2026 COSAFA Championship and qualify for the 2027 AFCON in Ghana.

Amajita defeated neighbours Mozambique 2-1 in the COSAFA U20 final, there’s a likelihood that he will travel to Ghana for the AFCON finals.

The news of Mlangeni signing this DDC contract with Chiefs were made public by his agency P Management on social media.
