Young players at the South Coast Warriors Rugby Club have enjoyed a superb season, with it all rounding off with Duikers selection for quite a few.

These selected players were involved in the recent interprovincial tournament hosted by the Valke in Kempton Park.

The Duikers had an exceptional tournament, winning gold in the U13s, U18s and girls U17s.

The U13 KZN Duikers played some outstanding rugby to beat the Blue Bulls in the final.

Warriors players in this team were MJ Myburgh, Caiden Koekemoer and Hendrik Thomas.

Niko Potgieter was the coach and his wife Shannon the manager.

This was a real feather in the cap for them and the club as they work so hard and put in so much effort.

The U17 girls played their hearts out to win their age group, with Ciandri du Preez and Monika Pretorius outstanding.

This was matched by the U18 team which beat the Golden Lions 36-35 in a thrilling final, with Kiaen Banjo later named as part of the U18 ‘dream team’.

He was joined in the Duikers team by Siyamthanda Nzimakwe.
