Manchester United face one of their most hostile away days of the season this weekend as they travel to Elland Road to take on Leeds United.

Manager Michael Carrick is under huge pressure, with just one win from their opening six matches. Leeds, meanwhile, sit six places above them in the table, having lost just once all season.

Carrick will need everyone pulling in the same direction to get a result against the Whites, but he has a number of injury concerns ahead of kick-off in Yorkshire.

Here GIVEMESPORT takes a look at the players on the treatment table for United.

Kobbie Mainoo

Came back into the set-up after withdrawing from the England squad for the international break but then picked up an injury in the game with Tottenham.

Missed the Champions League defeat to Atletico Madrid as a result and is doubtful for the trip to Elland Road, with Carrick saying 'we'll see' in his press conference when asked about the England midfielder's chances of playing.

Another who picked up a knock in the game with Spurs, although many would argue he should miss this match through suspension after the incident with Rodrigo Bentancur.

Like Mainoo, he missed the Atletico Madrid clash, with Carrick confirming ahead of that encounter that he has "picked up an issue" that the club were "working through to see what it looks like".

As with Mainoo, Carrick said 'we'll see' on his availability.

The Danish international picked up a hamstring injury during the international break and had to return to Manchester United early as a result.

He looks set for an extended spell on the sidelines with Carrick confirming his absence is likely to be for a 'number of weeks'.

Noussair Mazraoui

Picked up a knock on international duty and has not been seen in a United shirt since.

Missed both the Tottenham game last weekend and the Atletico Madrid game in midweek with the lower back injury suffered while playing for Morocco.

Wasn't mentioned in Carrick's press conference and looks set to miss out on the trip to Leeds.

The Slovenia striker did not go on international duty because of a shin injury that he initially picked up towards the end of the 2025/26 season.

The frontman has played sporadic minutes so far this season but suffered a recurrence of the injury and has missed both the Spurs game and the Atletico Madrid game, with no sign of a return this weekend.

Other absences

Manuel Ugarte in action for Manchester United

Veteran goalkeeper Tom Heaton remains out of action with a hamstring injury. Manuel Ugarte is the one real long-term injured player, out until next year with an anterior cruciate ligament injury.
