Hussein El Shahat scored twice as CAF Confederation Cup title favourites Al Ahly of Egypt hammered Kitara of Uganda 4-0 on Sunday to reach the group stage.
Mohamed 'Afsha' Magdy and Taher Mohamed also scored for the Cairo Red Devils in the Egyptian capital. They led 2-0 at halftime.
Ahly triumphed 6-1 on aggregate having won the first leg of the final round qualifier 2-1 in east Africa last weekend.
They will join 14 other clubs in the mini-league draw on Wednesday. An appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) by first-round losers Hafia of Guinea leaves one place open.
After competing in the CAF Champions League each year since 2004, Ahly failed to qualify for the premier African club competition this season having come third in the Egyptian league.
Only the top two finishers in Egypt go into the Champions League. The club finishing third has to settle for the Confederation Cup, the African equivalent of the UEFA Europa League.
While Ahly are the team to beat, they can expect tough opposition from title-holders USM Alger of Algeria and Moroccan duo Raja Casablanca and FAR Rabat.
CS Sfaxien of Tunisia, winners of the Confederation Cup a record equalling three times, have also qualified for the group stage.
Jonathan Sowah bagged his fifth goal of the African campaign for Singida Black Stars of Tanzania, who advanced despite being held 1-1 at home by Tusker of Kenya.
Sowah struck midway through the second half and Nigerian Victor Mbaoma equalised with nine minutes of regular time remaining.
Singida won the east African derby 2-1 on aggregate after building a 1-0 first-leg lead in Nairobi last weekend.
Black Stars' victory means all four Tanzanian clubs in the Champions League and Confederation Cup have qualified for the group draws.
