WAFU B U17: Coach Kassim Ocansey makes seven changes to lineup for Burkina Faso clash

Black Starlets head coach Kassim Ocansey has made seven changes to his starting lineup for Ghana’s final Group A encounter against hosts Burkina Faso in the ongoing WAFU B U17 Championship.

The match is scheduled to kick off at 16:00 GMT at the August 4 Stadium in Ouagadougou, with Ghana aiming to maintain their unbeaten record in the group stage.

Ghana have already secured qualification to the semi-finals after recording a 1-0 victory over Togo before cruising to a 3-1 win against Benin. Ocansey has consequently reshuffled his starting eleven to rest some players and manage suspension risks ahead of the crucial knockout stage.

Felix Sevor has been handed a starting role alongside Ganiu Bentil at the heart of the defence, while Benedict Tano starts at right-back. Captain Issah Abdul Rafiu retains his place at left-back as the Black Starlets prepare for the challenge posed by the tournament hosts.

In midfield, Nii Odoi Tawiah and Michael Agyei have been introduced to partner Rushid Swallah, while Prince Apam and Gyasi Stephen will operate on the left and right wings, respectively.

Yao Gavi Robinho has been selected to lead the attack against Burkina Faso as Ghana look to round off their group-stage campaign with another positive result and carry their momentum into the semi-finals.
