Cody Rhodes delivers a Punt Kick to Baron Corbin.

On this week’s WWE SmackDown, Baron Corbin interrupted Cody Rhodes’ promo towards the end of the show. An impromptu match eventually began between the two, with Randy Orton interfering to cause a non-finish as well.

They brawled outside of the ring for some time before getting in the ring. Orton looked to deliver a Punt Kick to Rhodes, but the latter escaped and delivered a Cody Cutter instead.

Cody was lining up to hit Orton with a Punt Kick, but Corbin attacked him. A Super Cutter took out Corbin, and then Rhodes delivered a Punt Kick to him to close out the show.

Interestingly enough, this week’s SmackDown was internally titled “Punt It Down The Rhodes,” according to Fightful’s Corey Brennan.

Rhodes had previously lost his Saturday Night’s Main Event match against Orton after he hesitated to deliver the Punt Kick. During their WrestleMania 42 match, however, Orton didn’t hesitate to hit the punt.
