Ballon d'Or 2026: My time will come - Yamal breaks silence after losing to Kane

Barcelona winger, Lamine Yamal, has broken silence after failing to win the 2026 Ballon d’Or on Monday night in London.

In a post on Instagram, the Spain international sent a calm but confident message to supporters.

Yamal, who finished third behind England captain Harry Kane and France captain Kylian Mbappé, made it clear that the setback has not altered his belief in where his career is heading.

“It [Ballon d’Or] will come; good things take time. I trust the path I am building. My time will come," Yamal wrote on Instagram.

Yamal also congratulated Kane on his Ballon d'Or victory.

The 19-year-old claimed the Kopa Trophy, won the 2026 World Cup and last season's LaLiga title
