Harry Kane has been caught on camera celebrating his historic Ballon d’Or triumph at a glitzy London afterparty in an exclusive Soho nightclub.
The Bayern Munich and England striker was on Monday crowned the first Briton to win the award since Michael Owen in 2001, as he was rewarded for a stellar campaign in which he scored a staggering 73 goals in 65 appearances.
He pipped some stellar talents to the top spot, too, with Kylian Mbappe and Lamine Yamal finishing second and third in the voting, respectively.
For Kane, it is a milestone moment. Throughout his career, he has been maligned for lacking the silverware to match his goalscoring prowess, but his title-winning exploits at Bayern Munich, in conjunction with Monday’s honour, have put the debate to bed.
Naturally, he celebrated in style, after having made an emotional acceptance speech and indulged countless photo opportunities for reporters and photographers.
He shared a video to his Instagram page filmed on the street outside the London Palladium, where the award ceremony was held, in which he hoisted the trophy to loud cheers from adoring fans.
He then retreated to an exclusive after-party at the exclusive Soho nightclub Cirque le Soir, not far from the Palladium, where he spent the evening celebrating with friends, family, and a crop of current and former Tottenham stars.
Footage later emerged on social media appears to show the striker at a nightclub after-party, surrounded by his wife Katie Goodland, parents, and brother Charlie, who doubles as his agent.
Three Tottenham stars can also be spotted in the clip. Kane’s close friend Eric Dier, who followed him from Spurs to Bayern, is present, rubbing shoulders with Matt Doherty and the veteran centre-back Ben Davies, who scored against Coventry last week.
The former Spurs player and manager Tim Sherwood, under whose leadership Kane scored four goals in 18 appearances, is also present. Kane spent much of the night with close friend and former coach Ryan Mason, but he cannot be seen in the after-party clip.
