For Caitlin Clark, this season wasn’t just about the numbers under the spotlight; it was about staying on the floor. After an injury-shortened campaign limited her to only 13 games a year ago, logging a grueling 40-game slate for the Fever marked a deeply personal milestone of endurance. When Clark took to social media to express gratitude, her heartfelt message quickly sparked widespread support, drawing immediate reactions from boyfriend Connor McCaffery, close friend Paige Bueckers, and fans nationwide.

“Thankful for a season of being healthy and doing what I love ❤️ had so much fun this year, but now it’s back to work :)…and lots of really cool shoes still on the way,” Clark wrote in a social media post.

Clark’s post was liked by Connor McCaffery and Paige Bueckers and reshared by McCaffery on his own social media account. Teammates Aliyah Boston and Kelsey Mitchell also wasted no time in sharing their excitement as well.

“lets keep it goinggg❤️,” wrote Boston in the post’s comments.

“da one????????????,” wrote Mitchell, showering the love for her teammate.

“you fye twinnnn????❤,” another of Clark’s teammates, Makayla Timpson, chipped in.

“Happy for you ❤️,” wrote New York Liberty’s Sabrina Ionescu.

In the post, Clark shared several moments from the season. They capture the full range of emotions she, her teammates, and fans experienced. From closely fought on-court battles to being surrounded by opposing teams and taking the time to sign a jersey for a young fan, Clark did it all this season.

And Clark’s hint for more colorways of her signature shoes has fans all the more excited. Clark’s inaugural signature shoe, the Nike Caitlin 1, launched on October 1, 2026, with a total of six scheduled colorways rolling out through the end of the year. Additionally, her second signature model, the Nike Caitlin 2, is already in development.

On the court, it has been a remarkable season for Clark. She put together a spectacular 2026 WNBA campaign, firmly establishing herself as a premier force in the league during her third professional season. One of the key contributors to the Fever’s 28–16 record, Clark orchestrated a potent Indiana offense that averaged 96.0 points per game and secured a top-six seed in the postseason.

While Clark’s year concluded following a hard-fought first-round playoff battle against the Las Vegas Aces, the individual numbers she put up were nothing short of spectacular.

Clark averaged 22.3 points, 4.0 rebounds, 8.3 assists, and 1.1 steals per game this season. She finished third on the scoring charts and just second in assists per game in the league during the regular season.

In a must-win Game 2 against the Las Vegas Aces, Clark exploded for 27 points and 15 assists to force a deciding Game 3. In the process, she became the only player in WNBA history to record a 25+ point and 15+ assist game in the playoffs.

Clark also logged several elite scoring outbursts throughout the year, highlighted by a massive 45-point performance against the Seattle Storm in July. Her field goal percentage also jumped from 41.7% in her rookie year to a highly efficient 44.6%, proving she could carry a massive offensive load without compromising her efficiency.

Clark scored 891 total points across the 40-game regular season. She officially surpassed WNBA legend Diana Taurasi’s previous point-guard record of 860 points (set in 2006) during a September matchup against the Washington Mystics.

Clark logged an unprecedented 13 games with at least 20 points and 10 assists in 2026 alone. To put this in perspective, legendary point guard Courtney Vandersloot held the previous career record of 10 such games, built over 436 appearances. Clark blew past that career total in just her third season.

Clark also became the first player in WNBA history to record at least 800 points and 300 assists in a single season, finishing with exactly 891 points and 333 assists.

So while the season may have ended in a disappointing first-round exit, Clark and Co. have all the required pieces to pull together another fantastic campaign next season. For now, fans remain excited to see the new colorway of her upcoming sneakers.
