Unai Emery recorded his 100th Premier League victory as Aston Villa secured a narrow away win against Newcastle in the seventh round of the English top flight.

The milestone came in Emery’s 197th Premier League match as a manager, making him the eighth-fastest coach to reach a century of wins in the competition.

Not all of those victories came during his time at Aston Villa. Emery also managed Arsenal during the 2018-19 season before taking charge of the club from Birmingham.

His spell with Aston Villa began on 24 October 2022, meaning the fourth anniversary of his appointment will be reached in the coming days.
