Fabian Hurzeler uninterested in Manchester United move despite managerial shortlist

Manchester United have identified Brighton head coach Fabian Hurzeler as a possible successor to Michael Carrick, although the German is not interested in taking the job.

Hurzeler is among the candidates being considered by the club’s hierarchy as uncertainty continues over Carrick’s position. Journalist Ben Jacobs reports that Julian Nagelsmann is also regarded as one of the leading contenders for the Manchester United manager’s role.

Manchester United have not announced Carrick’s dismissal. However, it has previously been reported that he could be sacked as early as this week if the team lose their next Premier League match.
