The Boston Celtics will honor the US Armed Forces at TD Garden tonight during their annual Seats for Soldiers Night, presented by GE Vernova, marking the first year of a three-year partnership, according to a release circulated by the team. Now in its 20th year, the event unites active-duty service members and vets for a special basketball game as the Celtics face the Chicago Bulls. Over 1,200 tickets have been donated to military personnel, bringing the total to over 23,000 tickets donated by Celtics season ticket holders and the team since the event's inception.

Before tipoff, GE Vernova will host events at Celtics Headquarters: the GE Vernova Military Career Summit, which includes a keynote address, a Mission Continuity panel, and a career fair; and a Student Veteran Networking Social for local student vets. The evening will provide opportunities for service members to engage in gameday activities. Prior to tipoff, select military members will enjoy a courtside experience with Mike Conley and Joe Mazzulla. Additionally, 25 service members will join the team’s High Five Kids Tunnel to welcome players onto the court. "For 20 years, Seats for Soldiers has given us the opportunity to recognize the men and women who serve our country and bring them together for a special night at TD Garden," said Celtics team president Rich Gotham.

"Our season ticket members have played an important role in making this tradition possible, and with the support of GE Vernova, we’re continuing to find meaningful ways to connect with and recognize our military community," he added.

"At GE Vernova, we’re focused on solving the world’s most critical energy challenges, and that starts with attracting and developing the best talent," said Vernova CEO of GE Scott Strazik.

"Our three-year partnership with the Boston Celtics reinforces our commitment to veterans, whose leadership, discipline, and adaptability are invaluable to our global operations. We’re proud to invest in career opportunities that connect veterans’ mission-critical skills with the future of energy."
