Barcelona heads to Paris on Tuesday, Oct. 20, to play against the current European champion, Paris Saint-Germain. The La Liga side's defense is currently quite thin due to injury, giving Hansi Flick some big decisions to make.
The Blaugrana have won all nine of their La Liga games so far and is at the top of the league. A 5-2 victory at Real Betis on Saturday, Oct. 17 made it 11 wins in all competitions to start the season.
However, that win came with a price. Flick lost Jules Koundé and Eric García to injuries during the match in Seville. Andreas Christensen is also still out with a thigh injury.
Here is how Barcelona could line up against PSG:
Pau Cubarsí and Gerard Martín are the only natural center backs left in the traveling squad. This seems the most logical XI possible unless Flick tries to get creative with Rodri or Frenkie De Jong along the back line.
Koundé won't be available in Paris after spraining his left ankle in Saturday's win at Betis. He started in Seville and only felt discomfort after the final whistle.
His absence leaves Flick without either of the two players he has used at right back this season. The club says his recovery will determine whether he's ready for the Clásico against Real Madrid on Sunday, Oct. 25.
