Dele Alli pokes fun at Chelsea legend John Terry with video from Stamford Bridge as he watches former club Tottenham earn surprise 2-0 win... just weeks after going viral for his Twitch calls with Harry Kane and Co

Dele Alli enjoyed a trip to Stamford Bridge to see his former club Tottenham inflict a surprise defeat on rivals Chelsea – and entertained his followers on social media by poking fun at John Terry.

The 30-year-old midfielder, who played 269 games for Spurs between 2015 and 2022, kept his Instagram followers posted throughout the game - and posted a video of himself laughing while filming the Chelsea legend's reaction when Tottenham took the lead through an own goal from keeper Mike Penders.

Cole Palmer was later sent off for the hosts, and Mathys Tel’s brilliant goal sealed a 2-0 victory.

Dele also filmed the scoreboard and Spurs celebrations at Stamford Bridge and later put up a picture of Terry’s empty seat beside him with the caption: ‘Empty seat here now?’

He finished a story on Instagram by posting a celebratory photo alongside fellow former Tottenham midfielder Jermaine Jenas.

It was a momentous evening for Spurs – and just their second league win at Stamford Bridge since 1990. They now sit 12th after back-to-back victories following just three points from their first six games.

Dele is having something of a reinvention as a social-media personality, having been without a club since leaving Como last year.

He has played just ten minutes of professional football since February 2023 and earlier this month hit the headlines when he live-streamed himself on Twitch calling footballers from his contacts book such as Jack Grealish, Ashley Cole and Harry Kane.

Kane and Alli played together in an eye-catching Spurs team under Mauricio Pochettino which finished runners up in the Premier League in 2017 and reached Champions League final two years later.

After Alli tipped Kane for the Ballon d’Or in the unscheduled call, the Bayern Munich striker appeared concerned, asking Alli where he was living now and expressed his hope that he is still ‘working hard’.
