LAKE MILLS — Senior running back Kamden Tande-Habich ran for three touchdowns as top-seeded Lake Mills beat eighth-seeded Edgerton 42-22 in a WIAA Division 4 Level 1 game at L-Cat Stadium on Friday.

Tande-Habich ran it 10 times for 90 yards, helping the L-Cats' ground attack total 234 yards on 31 attempts. Sophomore tailback Jayden McFarlane added 16 carries for 109 yards and one TD.

Senior quarterback Tyler Wollin went 15-of-21 passing for 176 yards with two touchdowns and no interceptions, adding 35 rushing yards on five attempts, on a night the L-Cats had 410 yards of offense.

Lake Mills (9-1) started the game with the ball and turned it over on downs, then produced six consecutive touchdown drives.

Edgerton's potent passing attack struck first when senior quarterback Brayden Doerr hit senior wideout Eli Kittleson on a 56-yard scoring pass with 7 minutes, 45 seconds left in the first quarter.

The L-Cats, winners of nine consecutive, answered with 35 straight points, starting with a one-yard Tande-Habich TD run. Senior placekicker Luis Lopez made it 7-7 with the first of his six extra points.

With 9:45 left in the second quarter, Wollin hit senior tight end JP Brzowski on a three-yard TD pass. Eight minutes later, Tande-Habich scored on an eight-yard run, pushing the margin to 21-7 at the break.

Senior wide receiver Collin Christian, who made seven catches for 84 yards, made a 13-yard TD grab with 7:11 remaining in the third quarter.

Early in the fourth, Tande-Habich had a seven-yard TD rush, which extended the lead to 35-7.

Kittleson, who hauled in 11 passes for 178 yards, made a 47-yard TD catch and senior tight end Holden Howard had a late nine-yard scoring catch sandwiched around a six-yard McFarlane TD rush to cap the fourth-quarter scoring.

The L-Cats' longest play belonged to Tande-Habich, who broke off a 39-yard run. Christian made a 37-yard catch and senior wideout Jackson Roberts' lone grab netted 32 yards. Roberts also intercepted a pass Kittleson threw.

Lake Mills' defense, after surrendering the first-drive score, forced two punts, one turnover on downs and intercepted a pass on the Crimson Tide's next four possessions (excluding the clock expiring to end the first half).

Doerr finished 22-of-29 passing for 299 yards with three touchdowns. Howard added six receptions for 79 yards. Edgerton (4-6) managed only 34 rushing yards on 16 attempts, ending the season on a five-game skid.

Lake Mills hosts fifth-seeded Evansville (9-1), 49-20 winners over fourth-seeded Platteville, next Friday at 7 p.m. in Level 2.
