Clubs across Wales have paid tributes to Super Rygbi Cymru player Jack Davies, who has died aged 24

Tributes have been pouring in from across Welsh rugby for RGC player Jack Davies, who has passed away at the age of 24.

The devastating news was confirmed by his club team, Super Rygbi Cymru side RGC, and the Welsh Rugby Union, both of whom paid tribute with separate statements.

Several other clubs have also offered their condolences.

Super Rygbi rivals Newport RFC wrote: "Newport RFC is deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Clwb Rygbi Caernarfon and RGC player Jack Cameron Wynne Davies, at the age of just 24.

"We extend our most heartfelt condolences to Jack’s family and loved ones, everyone associated with both clubs, his friends, and all those who had the privilege of knowing him during this incredibly difficult time.

"Our thoughts are with everyone affected by this tragic loss."

Llandovery RFC added: "Everyone associated with the Drovers will be deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Clwb Rygbi Caernarfon and RGC player Jack Cameron Wynne Davies, at the age of just 24.

"We extend our most heartfelt condolences during this difficult time to Jack’s family and loved ones, everyone associated with both clubs, his friends, and all those who had the privilege of knowing him.

"Our thoughts are with everyone affected by this tragic loss."

Pontypool RFC added: "Devastating news.

"Condolences to Jacks family & friends and everyone at RGC - Rygbi Gogledd Cymru."

Meanwhile, Cardiff Rugby said "Incredibly sad news. Our thoughts are with Jack’s family and friends as well as everyone at RGC."

Davies joined Clwb Rygbi Caernarfon at the age of 12 and progressed through a variety of teams before becoming part of the RGC pathway.

He later moved to Cardiff Metropolitan University, where he studied Physical Education and Sport for three years, before returning to Caernarfon and RGC and rejoining their senior squads in 2023.

Caernarfon also paid a heartfelt tribute to Davies on their social media.

"It is with great sadness that Clwb Rygbi Caernarfon and RGC announce the death of one of our players, Jack Cameron Wynne Davies aged just 24. "After joining Clwb Rygbi Caernarfon at the age of 12 as a very promising athlete, he developed in a variety of teams and successfully managed to be part of the RGC pathway, before moving down to Cardiff Metropolitan University to study Physical Education and Sport for three years. He returned to Caernarfon and RGC, rejoining the senior squads in 2023. "He was a key part of the RGC and CR Caernarfon family and his death is a devastating loss for everyone associated with both clubs. "Our thoughts and deepest sympathies are with his family, friends, teammates and everyone who knew him during this difficult time."
