20-0! RoxBerry make National Pool League history
RoxBerry

RoxBerry did not just win on Sunday. The defending champions made history when they became the first team to win a senior National Pool League match without dropping a single frame after sweeping Corporate Shooters 20-0 at RoxBerry Bar in Kiwanga.

It was a perfect afternoon for the champions, who showed why they remain the team to beat in the 2026 National Pool League. While their position at the top of the men’s table and dominance in the scoring charts already tell a story of their strength, the record-breaking victory added another chapter to their growing legacy.

Corporate Shooters had no answer as RoxBerry won all 20 frames to register a result that will be remembered long after this season ends.

And the champions were not finished. RoxBerry followed the historic win with a 15-5 victory over Tororo Tigers before wrapping up their Matchday Four campaign with a 13-7 triumph over Sinkers.

The three victories strengthened their grip on the men’s league, where they remain unbeaten after 12 matches, having won 11 and drawn once.

RoxBerry have accumulated 34 points, rising to 35 when bonus points are included. They have scored 181 frames and conceded just 50, giving them a remarkable difference of 131.

Their closest challengers, Scrap Buyers, are keeping the pressure on, but RoxBerry still have the upper hand.

Scrap Buyers also enjoyed a productive Matchday Four at Homebase in Kireka, beating Kireka 16-4, Capital Night 13-7 and E-Play 16-4.

Those results leave them second with 33 points from 12 matches, just one behind the leaders in the main standings.

Adi’s are third on 28 points, followed by Upper Volta on 25 and Club 408 on 22. Greater Mukono and Wakiso City have 21 points each, although Greater Mukono have the advantage in total points when bonuses are considered.

RoxBerry dominate the scoring charts

The champions’ strength is not limited to team performances. Their players are also leading the individual race.

Joseph Kasozi tops the men’s scoring chart with 36 goals, narrowly ahead of teammate Ibrahim Ssejjemba, who has 35.

Scrap Buyers’ Kayanja Ibrahim is third with 34, while teammate Glorious Ssenyonjo and Adi’s forward Moses Omara Moses have 33 apiece.

RoxBerry’s Kazibwe Ian has scored 32 goals, with teammate Simon Lubulwa and Adi’s Jackson Asiku completing the top eight on 30 each.

With four players featuring among the leading scorers, RoxBerry have shown that their success is built on more than one player. Their depth and consistency continue to give them an edge over their rivals.

A busy day across the men’s league

Elsewhere, Greater Mukono underlined their strength with victories over Nakawa and Mbale at Beluga Lounge in Kitintale.

They beat Nakawa 15-5 and Mbale 11-0, although Wakiso City also had a productive day, defeating Mbale 11-0 and Nakawa 16-4 before narrowly losing 11-9 to Greater Mukono.

At the same venue, Nakawa beat Mbale 11-0. Pot It began their day at Upper Volta Bar with an 11-9 victory over the hosts before losing 14-6 to Adi’s. They recovered to beat Club 408 11-9.

Adi’s had earlier defeated Club 408 13-7, while their meeting with Upper Volta ended 10-10, with Upper Volta winning the deciding shootout 3-2.

Club 408 and Upper Volta also drew 10-10, with Upper Volta prevailing 4-2 in the shootout.

At RoxBerry Bar, Tororo Tigers edged Sinkers 11-9 before losing 15-5 to the hosts. Sinkers later beat Corporate Shooters 14-6, while Tororo Tigers also defeated Corporate Shooters 14-6.

At Homebase in Kireka, E-Play started with a 13-7 victory over Capital Night before beating Kireka 12-8. Scrap Buyers defeated Kireka 16-4 and Capital Night 13-7, while Kireka edged Capital Night 11-9.

Mukono maintain their grip on the Women’s League

As RoxBerry make headlines among the men, Mukono are continuing to set the pace in the women’s competition.

Defending champions Mukono remain unbeaten after five matches, with four victories and one draw keeping them at the top of the standings.

Their latest outing on Sunday at Upper Volta Bar in Kasubi saw them beat Bob Male 12-8 before sharing the spoils in a 10-10 draw with Samona.

The result against Samona came after the latter had started the day with a convincing 15-5 victory over Genesis.

Bob Male also recovered from their defeat to Mukono to beat Genesis 11-9, leaving the competition’s bottom side still searching for their first win.

Mukono have 13 points, plus a bonus point, for a total of 14. Samona are second with 13 total points after also winning four matches and drawing once.

The narrow gap between the two sides means the race for the women’s title remains alive, but Mukono have so far done enough to stay in front.

Their challenge is being led by Rashidah Mutesi, who continues to show why she is the reigning champion.

Mutesi tops the women’s scoring chart with 17 goals, ahead of teammate Michelle Nandawula on 14 and fellow Mukono player Rukia Naiga on 13.

She is keeping the pressure on her rivals while helping Mukono maintain their strong start to the season.

Akaanya and Sinkers keep pace

Akaanya also had a day to remember at Pacify Hotel in Wakaliga, where they beat Silver Back 11-0 before defeating She Scrap Buyers 14-6.

The two victories lifted Akaanya to third place with 12 points from five matches.

Sinkers also registered two wins, beating She Scrap Buyers 17-3 and Silver Back 13-7 to move into fifth place with nine points. Bob Male occupy fourth on the same number of points.

She Scrap Buyers have three points, while Genesis and Silver Back remain without a win after five matches.
