It feels like WWE fans have watched Dominik Mysterio grow up in front of their eyes, from the "Custody of Dominik" ladder match at SummerSlam 2005, to his beginnings in a WWE ring himself as a competitor in 2020. The former Intercontinental Champion's first WWE bout came in the "Thunderdome" era, where he faced off in a street fight against Seth Rollins. On an episode of The Undertaker's "Six Feet Under" podcast, Mysterio explained just how important Rollins is to his career.

"I really enjoyed working Seth," Mysterio said. "I think just coming up, like having my first match with him and seeing how he works and how his mind works with the whole business and with wrestling and how he puts a match together, he's on another level when it comes to stuff like that."

He explained that working with Rollins brought out a bit more of a technical side to his style. Mysterio said he knew he had to get on Rollins' level, or at least try to. He said that getting to contribute ideas alongside "The Visionary" got his brain going and his "creative juice flowing." He loved working with the star because Rollins knows all his strong points.

"I don't know if it's because he had my first match and he just kind of like saw it," Mysterio explained. "Honestly, my first 15, 20 matches were all with Seth, because it was all during the pandemic, so he kind of just like guided me through this whole thing. So, I think that's why he knows what to do and how to maneuver me around and he's the man."
