Dastan Barasa backs 3K FC to bounce back after APS Bomet defeat
3K FC midfielder Danstan Barasa

3K FC midfielder Danstan Barasa is confident the team can bounce back from Wednesday’s 3-0 defeat to APS Bomet when they face Posta Rangers in their next SportPesa League assignment.

The Embu-based side suffered their first defeat of the season at Raila Odinga Stadium, but Barasa insists their ambitions remain unchanged as they seek to get their campaign back on track. “We lost to APS Bomet, but we remain committed to the coach’s plan. We will prepare well and see if we can secure a win against Posta Rangers,” said Barasa.

The midfielder is targeting maximum points against Posta Rangers in their Matchweek Five fixture, hoping victory will restore confidence and help the team regain momentum. “We are targeting maximum points in our next match against Posta Rangers and hope to build momentum from there. We will approach it as another match and an opportunity to redeem ourselves following our defeat to APS Bomet,” he added.

Barasa said the club’s season-long objective remains a top-eight finish, expressing confidence that the team can improve their performances in the coming weeks. “Our target this season is to finish in the top eight. We still have many matches to play, and I believe we can produce good results,” he said.

3K FC have collected five points from their opening four matches, recording one win, two draws and a defeat. They will be eager to return to winning ways against Posta Rangers as they seek greater consistency.

Barasa has established himself as an important member of the squad since joining 3K FC from Bungoma Stars in August. The central midfielder has started all four of the team’s league matches this season. The player said he was pleased with his start at the club, attributing his regular involvement to hard work and consistent training.

“I am very happy to have joined 3K FC. As a new signing, playing in the first four matches of the season is not easy. It is a result of hard work and consistent training,” he said.

Beyond securing regular playing time, Barasa is keen to contribute to the team’s campaign by scoring goals and providing assists. “As a player, my target this season is to score goals, provide assists and help my team enjoy a successful campaign,” he added.

He also urged the club’s supporters to remain patient as they seek to improve their results. “To our fans, just believe in us. We are going to deliver good results and make you happy,” he said.
