Uganda’s Kitara FC, fresh off Uganda Cup wins in 2024 and 2026, traveled to Cairo on October 25 for the CAF Confederation Cup return leg after a narrow 2-1 first-leg loss.

Al Ahly dominated with goals from Hussein El Shahat (twice), Mohamed Magdy Afsha, and Taher Mohamed, securing a 4-0 win and advancing on aggregate.

Kitara earned praise for their preparation and reaching this level, despite the experience gap against the powerhouse.
