Some Manchester United and Arsenal legends, including Ryan Giggs, Nemanja Vidic and Ashley Cole, have named their picks to win this year’s Ballon d’Or.
Former England international Rio Ferdinand asked the Manchester United and Arsenal legends who they thought would win the 2026 Ballon d’Or.
In a video posted on the official X account of Rio Ferdinand Presents, Ferdinand asked, via Rio VLOGS: “Ballon d’Or time, Mikael Silvestre is with me. Mikael, who do you think will win the Ballon d’Or?”
Silvestre replied, “Michael Olise.”
Manchester United legends Giggs, Vidic and John O’Shea all picked Lamine Yamal.
Former Manchester United striker Louis Saha chose Kylian Mbappe, saying, “Mbappe, because he is French.”
Dimitar Berbatov, another former Manchester United striker, said, “I would be biased and go for Harry Kane.”
Arsenal legends Ashley Cole and Gilberto Silva also picked Yamal.
The winner of this year’s Ballon d’Or will be announced later this month in London.
