Premier League: Vision FC target back-to-back wins against Port City on Saturday

Vision FC will aim to build on their return to winning ways when they host Port City FC in the Premier League matchday nine at the Nii Adjei Kraku II Sports Complex on Saturday, October 31, 2026.

The Tema-based outfit ended a frustrating six-game winless run last weekend with a convincing 3-1 away victory over Dreams FC. The result, which followed three draws and three defeats, marked their first league win since the difficult spell began and only their second victory of the campaign after eight matches.

Vision FC will now be eager to make it back-to-back league victories for the first time this season as they seek to climb away from the lower half of the table. They currently sit 13th with nine points, having scored 11 goals and conceded the same number.

However, their home form remains a concern. After opening their campaign at the Nii Adjei Kraku II Sports Complex with an emphatic 3-0 victory over Young Apostles on September 5, Vision have gone three consecutive home league matches without a win, recording two draws and one defeat. They have scored four goals and conceded two during that spell and will be determined to rediscover their winning touch in front of their supporters.

Standing in their way are a Port City FC side enjoying an encouraging start to life in the top flight. The Kukurantumi-based club continued to impress last weekend, securing a dramatic 2-1 away victory over Karela United FC in Tamale to strengthen their position among the league’s early contenders.

That result took Port City’s tally to four wins from eight matches and lifted them to fourth place with 14 points. They have scored 11 goals and conceded seven, underlining their effectiveness at both ends of the pitch.

Port City have also proved capable travellers, ranking among the league’s strongest away sides. They have won two and lost two of their four matches on the road, scoring four goals and conceding three.

Buoyed by their late triumph in Tamale, they will head to Tema aiming to secure consecutive away victories for the first time in their debut Premier League campaign.
