Trump administration press adviser Britt McHenry was escorted out of an NBA game after a drink-throwing incident, The Daily Beast reported. The former ESPN reporter got into a dispute with a fan at the Washington Wizards-Milwaukee Bucks game on Wednesday night. Stadium footage showed McHenry arguing with arena staff before her departure from Capital One Arena.

The altercation started after a group of men behind McHenry began heckling Bucks player Kyle Kuzma. The men also disparaged Kuzma’s fiancée, model Winnie Harlow, according to Page Six. McHenry, who had been drinking, reportedly turned around to tell the heckler to “ease up.”

The exchange quickly escalated into a verbal dispute laced with alleged misogynistic insults. The men reportedly threw a drink on McHenry first. She then retaliated by throwing her own drink back at the group.

Bystanders recorded McHenry’s exit from the arena, booing and throwing towels as she blew kisses. Sources close to McHenry told TMZ she left voluntarily and was not removed by staff. However, video footage contradicted that account, showing her arguing with employees who pointed toward the exits. She was heard yelling, “What’d I do?” at stadium personnel during the confrontation.

McHenry, 40, joined the State Department as a press adviser under the Trump administration. She previously worked at ESPN before a 2015 suspension over a separate confrontation. In that incident, she berated a towing company employee on camera. She later joined Fox News, where she sued the network and co-host George “Tyrus” Murdoch over alleged sexual harassment in 2019. That lawsuit was settled in July 2021 on undisclosed terms.
