CMLL's Amazonas Grand Prix is a showcase of women from around the globe. The women represent various promotions as well. CMLL has its own representatives and this year, AEW, STARDOM, MAPLE LEAF PRO, MLW, and RevPro will also be represented. The tournament is October 23 in Arena Mexico.

The two representatives for MLW were Shotzi Blackheart and Masha Slamovich. Unfortunately, Blackheart had to withdraw from the tournament following the death of her brother. Blackheart said that the opportunity to compete in the tournament was a huge honor and she doesn't take it lightly.

CMLL announced that AEW's Marina Shafir will be Blackheart's replacement. She will represent her home country of Moldova. CMLL's post translates to "the imposing AEW star, recognized for her experience in mixed martial arts and her aggressive fighting style, arrives to bolster the international contingent."
