Matia Lule will be in the line of fire again as his Police side visit champions Vipers at St. Mary’s stadium, Kitende on Friday under the floodlights.
The 2005 champions head to Kitende in abysmal form having won just once in the last five league matches and conceded nine goals in the previous two matches.
They face a home side desperate for victory to keep pace with the leading pack and in fine form after trouncing Kataka 5-0 in their last outing despite an earlier blip in a 1-1 draw with Maroons at Kitende.
Police will have work to do to stop the hosts’ forward line led by Congolese Gusto Mulongo and supported by Chukwuma Ambrose and Usama Arafat.
Denis Lavagne’s men are unbeaten in four matches with their only defeat coming on day one against Entebbe UPPC.
They will be favourites against the Cops who they have dominated in recent outings with 14 wins in 22 UPL meetings since 2012 [L4, D4].
