Kenya Harlequin turned the tables on Blak Blad, claiming a 16-10 victory in the Impala Floodlit tournament to avenge last season’s 35-13 defeat to the students.

Blak Blad started strongly, mounting early attacks but failing to capitalise on their opportunities, with Daniel Oyoo missing two penalty attempts.

Kenya Harlequin took an early 3-0 lead through a penalty by Faran Juma. Black Blad responded with their first try of the match, which Oyoo converted to give them a 7-3 advantage.

Oyoo added another three points through a penalty, extending Blak Blad’s lead as the sides headed into the halftime break.

Kenya Harlequin returned from the break with renewed determination, with Nathaniel Mwangi scoring their first try. Juma added the conversion to level the scores at 10-10.

Juma then restored Quins’ lead with a penalty before adding another three points to extend their advantage to 16-10.

Blak Blad pushed to get back into the contest, but Quins held firm in the closing stages to secure the six-point victory and record a memorable win over last season’s conquerors.
