Temitope Vincent has left Nigeria Premier Football League club Plateau United to join Libyan team Olympic Azzawiya, ending a two-year spell with the Jos-based side known as the Peace Boys.
In his message, Vincent described the switch as the start of a fresh stage in his career and expressed appreciation to Plateau United for its role in his development.
“To my Plateau United family — my teammates, coaches, management and the incredible fans of Jos — as I start a new chapter in my career, I want to offer my sincere thanks to Plateau United Football Club for being part of my journey,” he said.
He said it had been an honour to wear the club’s colours, play for its badge and experience memorable moments with those who made his time at Plateau United meaningful.
Vincent thanked his teammates for the contests, shared memories and sense of brotherhood created both on and off the field. He also credited the coaching staff and management for their guidance, confidence and support, which he said helped him develop as both a footballer and an individual.
Addressing the club’s supporters, he said the passion and backing of fans in Jos would retain a special place in his heart. “You are never taken for granted,” he added.
Although he is moving on, Vincent said Plateau United would remain part of his personal story. He said he was leaving with gratitude and wished the club further success, additional trophies and bigger achievements in the NPFL.
