The National U-15 Boys team beat Korea Republic 2-1 to advance to the Round of 16 of the FIFA U-15 World Cup and Festival in Azerbaijan on Wednesday, October 28, 2026.

Abdul Aziz Issah was once again on target for Ghana, continuing his fine scoring form at the tournament, while an own goal from the Korean defence sealed the victory for the young lads.

Ghana, who topped Group W with a perfect record of five wins from five, showed great character to edge past a disciplined Korea Republic side in the Round of 32.

The win extends Ghana's unbeaten run to six matches at the FIFA Talent Development Scheme tournament, with Ghana having scored 29 goals so far. The National U-15 Boys will now await their opponents for the Round of 16 as they continue their impressive campaign in Azerbaijan.
