Tottenham sent scouts to watch Younes Ebnoutalib in Eintracht Frankfurt’s 1-0 win over Cologne on October 16, according to TEAMtalk. The striker scored the only goal as the Premier League club continued its assessment.
Graeme Bailey reports that Tottenham has been following the 23-year-old for some time. Friday’s visit provided another live viewing, with Ebnoutalib taking his Bundesliga tally to five goals in six matches this season.
The trip also allowed Tottenham to check on Mikey Moore. The winger, on loan at Cologne, came off the bench for the visiting side, giving the scouting staff a second player to monitor.
Ebnoutalib settled the match in the 77th minute after substitute Noel Aseko played him through inside the penalty area. He finished at the near post to secure Frankfurt’s first home league victory of the campaign.
Frankfurt’s official match report shows that he started alongside Jonathan Burkardt in a two-man attack. He had an early effort saved by Marvin Schwabe before finding the breakthrough late in the second half.
His current scoring run follows a rapid rise through German soccer. Frankfurt signed him from Elversberg in January after he scored 12 goals in 17 second-division appearances during the first half of the 2025/26 season.
He made an immediate impression, scoring against Borussia Dortmund in a 3-3 draw on his Bundesliga debut. His Frankfurt contract runs until 2031, giving the club considerable control over any future transfer.
International recognition has followed. Ebnoutalib credited Jurgen Klopp with his decision to represent Germany when discussing his first call-up in September. He had scored four times in his opening four Bundesliga matches of the season at that point.
The latest visit gives Tottenham a more recent assessment of a striker continuing to produce in the top flight. TEAMtalk reports ongoing scouting, without identifying an offer, an asking price or negotiations over a transfer.
