Former No. 1 high school football team in country suffers second straight upset

Last week, St. Frances Academy (MD) lost its top spot in the Super 25 rankings after a 28-20 home loss to The St. James Academy (VA).

This week, the No. 9 Panthers took a road trip to New Jersey to face a Hun School (4-3) many people likely expected to be a get-right game.

However, the Raiders had other plans.

Led by a pair of touchdown passes from 2028 four-star Indiana commit Lukas Prock and a standout defensive performance, Hun defended its home field in a 14-9 defensive slugfest.

Prock and the Raiders struck first in the opening quarter. After a long drive, Prock connected with JD Teza for a 17-yard touchdown to open the scoring.

St. Frances Academy's offense struggled to get anything going all afternoon but managed to tack on a field goal in the second quarter, making it a four-point game going into the half.

Prock, the East Region First-Team ALL-USA quarterback, made it an 11-point lead late in the third quarter. He lobbed an eight-yard pass to Amir Cooper in the corner of the end zone, putting the Raiders up 14-3 with 30 seconds remaining in the quarter.

St. Frances Academy refused to go down without a fight.

The Panthers marched down the field and scored their first and only touchdown on a 26-yard pass. However, they failed to convert the two-point conversion, and Hun's Tommy Douglas recovered the ensuing onside kick to secure the win for the Raiders.
