Leeds United host Man United on Sunday as the Whites look to take advantage of the chaos ensuing under Michael Carrick – and Simon Grayson has named one key difference between the two sides.
Man United have made an abysmal start to the season, winning just one Premier League game. Last weekend, they could not hold on to a 1-0 lead against 10-man Tottenham, as Dom Solanke scored.
In the week, Man United were hammered 3-0 by Atletico Madrid, with Lisandro Martinez hammering the board in a post-match interview. Martinez has since apologised for his comments and has been fined.
But for Leeds, it gives the Whites hope that they can really take advantage as Man United go to Elland Road. Leeds, by contrast, have made an excellent start – losing their first league game narrowly at Arsenal.
Martinez’s comments are not the only issue. Man United’s team news is being leaked again, something that happened regularly under Ruben Amorim. A further sign the manager has lost the dressing room.
On the Square Ball, former Leeds manager Simon Grayson was asked what the leak says about the Man United dressing room. He underlined that it is a clear difference to what is going on under Daniel Farke.
“It’s not a United one. They’re not together, and that is completely the opposite of where we are as a football club. Our dressing room is so together, full of spirit, fighting for each other. Training on the pitch.

“Off the pitch with this real togetherness and loving playing, loving the company of each other, while across their dressing room – it could end up with Carrick losing his job after the weekend,” Grayson said.
Since becoming Leeds manager, Farke has faced Man United twice. His Leeds side drew at Elland Road and at Old Trafford against Carrick’s side; Farke masterminded a 2-1 win, with Noah Okafor scoring twice.
It will come as no surprise to hear that Gary Neville backed Man United to win, predicting a 2-1 win. Roy Keane thinks it will be a 1-1 draw, but Peter Crouch thinks Leeds will win. Can Leeds take advantage?
Joe Rodon remains sidelined with injury, though Harry Wilson and Dan James should be back involved on Sunday. Jean-Matteo Bahoya remains a doubt, but we will learn more when Farke speaks to the media.
