The Toronto Raptors have accomplished the No. 1 goal of training camp and the preseason: Stay healthy.
The team has a clean bill of health, as Alijah Martin went through a full practice after tweaking his knee on Friday and Nate Bittle is now out of a walking boot and resuming on-court work, Sportsnet’s Michael Grange reported on Monday.
Bittle, 23, signed a two-way contract with the Raptors on Saturday. The rim-protecting and floor-spacing big showed out during Summer League — averaged 9.8 points, 6.8 rebounds and 2.8 blocks and shot 44% from 3 over the four games — but missed training camp and the preseason with a foot injury.
Still the Raptors stuck with him despite the injury, showing both how much of an impression he made during the summer exhibition and the organization’s belief in the seven-footer.
However, Grange also reported that Bittle is likely at least one month away from being game-ready. So, not quite 100% healthy, but getting there. The Raptors also have one open two-way spot remaining.

Meanwhile, Martin is set for a back-of-the-bench role just outside of the rotation, but could have to step in and play NBA minutes in the case of an injury. After playing on a two-way deal during his rookie season in 2025-26, he was converted to a two-year standard NBA contract in the offseason.
The tenacious six-foot-two guard balled out during the first half of Friday’s preseason finale, canning a tough step-back 3 to beat the shot clock, finishing physically at the rim, and even taking off for a dunk attempt from the free-throw line that may or may not have been prevent by a Cade Cunningham foul.
Martin finished the first half with a team-high 15 points but hardly played in the second after apparently sustaining the knee issue.
Otherwise, the Raptors are injury-free, with the new projected starting five of Jakob Poeltl, Scottie Barnes, Kawhi Leonard, RJ Barrett and Immanuel Quickley are all set for action when the Raptors’ season tips off against the Chicago Bulls on Wednesday night.
