Another night of hurt for Nottingham Forest came at the hands of Ipswich Town in a 1-1 draw at Portman Road.

Oliver Glasner needed a win on Friday night as Nottingham Forest took on Ipswich Town, but after throwing away a 1-0 lead, it was another draw for the Reds. One win in eight now for Glasner, and although Forest are backing him, the situation is quickly becoming actionable.

Despite the frustrating 1-1 draw, there were plenty of individual positives to take as Forest were only denied the win by individual error and VAR controversy. So here are the player ratings from the game against Ipswich.

TalkingPoints

Forest held to a 1-1 draw with Ipswich 😬 Thoughts on that?! Controversial to say the least….

Mats Selz – 6.5

Made a good stop in the first-half although didn’t have much to do otherwise, not great for the goal.

Jair Cunha – 6

Looked good on the ball, little to criticise off it, but it was an unconvincing performance as he looked fearful of Julio Enciso when he was on the ball. He also had a golden opportunity to score, but volleyed it right at the goalkeeper.

Nikola Milenkovic – 4

Really sloppy defending handed Ipswich a route back into the game. Was hopeless to get back in transition and could only hold his head in his hands.

Murillo – 6

Decent at best, didn’t do an awful lot wrong but should have been better with a headed chance in the second half, heading wide.

Daniel Munoz – 7.5

Brilliant cross for the opening goal, exactly why Glasner signed him in the summer. Worked hard throughout.

James McAtee – 7

Zipped around the pitch well, did a lot of things to like, should really have seen Issa Diop sent off for an erratic slide. Decent performance, very busy.

Xaver Schlager – 6

Painfully slow at times getting back and forward in transition, pretty decent on the ball, but concern over his mobility and suitability for the Premier League.

Neco Williams – 8

Took his goal really well and was serenaded by the away fans afterwards for his finish. Was largely untroubled by his opposite number defensively, a really strong showing.

Morgan Gibbs-White – 6.5

Can’t help but think Forest needs more from the captain, a player who, at his best, is unplayable, but he was a bit of a non-factor against Ipswich by his own high standards. Not been at it this season for whatever reason, and poor again here.

Dan Ndoye – 6.5

Showed more promising signs but ultimately was rightfully withdrawn as he struggled to really get involved. Should have done better on a couple of one on one occassions.

Liam Delap – 6

Fought a lot but offered very little in the end, left with more shirts ripped than shots on target.

Callum Hudson-Odoi – 6.5

Was really bright after his introduction, but had the familiar issues of poor finishing. Missed one huge chance in the 90th minute, frustrating.

Luca Netz – N/A

Barely had any involvement.

Chris Wood – N/A

Only had a few minutes, but barely had a touch.
