Man Utd XI vs Leeds: Martinez latest, confirmed team news, predicted lineup for Premier League
Michael Carrick says fine margins are costing Man Utd after draw against Fulham

It is not yet clear whether Lisandro Martinez will be involved as Manchester United visit Leeds on Sunday.

The Argentine centre-back grabbed the back pages’ attention as he spoke after United’s 2-0 loss at Atletico Madrid on Tuesday evening, slamming the club hierarchy for producing an underwhelming summer transfer window and accusing some of his team-mates of not working hard enough.

His comments have sparked unrest in the United dressing room, with reports suggesting he has been confronted by at least one team-mate since.

It remains to be seen, however, whether he will face any sanction from the club. It has been suggested he might be fined or suspended ahead of the trip to Leeds, though this has yet to be confirmed. Michael Carrick should tell all as he previews the tie at his Friday press conference.

Should he be dropped, Ayden Heaven may be the most likely candidate to take his place in the back line after Leny Yoro struggled at the Metropolitano.

Elsewhere, Bruno Fernandes should be restored to his native No10 role after Carrick experimented with using him as a right-winger in Madrid. That move will see Youri Tielemans drop out of the side, with Carlos Baleba and Andrey Santos preferred at the base of midfield. Bryan Mbeumo will move out wide, with Matheus Cunha up top.

There are a couple of looming injury worries on Carrick’s mind. Kobbie Mainoo and Luke Shaw both missed the trip to Madrid with minor injuries, and it is not yet clear whether they will return here. Elsewhere, Benjamin Sesko, Patrick Dorgu, Noussair Mazraoui, Manuel Ugarte and Tom Heaton all remain sidelined with more significant issues.

Man Utd predicted XI vs Leeds: Lammens; Shaw, Heaven, Maguire, Dalot; Santos, Baleba; Rashford, Fernandes, Mbeumo; Cunha
