The defender has already racked up five clean sheets while featuring for the Gunners since his summer switch from Aston Villa - the latest coming in Sunday’s determined 1-0 victory at Nottingham Forest.
Konsa was called into emergency action in second-half stoppage time, chasing back to execute a perfectly timed challenge, preventing Forest’s Liam Delap charging through on goal.
After the win at the City Ground, he reflected on the result, the challenge and facing many of the world’s best.
“If you want to win titles, you have to come to tough places like these and get three points,” Ezri declared.
“As a centre-back, I look forward to playing against the best, and in the Premier League, every striker has their own qualities.
“Liam Delap for example is a very physical striker and gave me some moments. You have to recover sometimes to make that tackle, and sometimes if your position is better, then you don’t have to make it - but it’s nice when it comes off.”
Born and raised in Newham while coming through the Charlton Athletic academy, Konsa is one of millions of Londoners to sprout a lifelong connection with Arsenal.
He turns 29 this week - and having lifted the Europa League with Villa in Istanbul last season, this summer presented the chance of his dream move at a key stage of his career.
Ezri exudes experience and confidence in any backline, and his cohesive transition into Mikel Arteta’s defence comes as no surprise as he revealed how he has been welcomed back in his home city - including by several of his England teammates.
“Everyone saw Arsenal’s record last season defensively, keeping clean sheets, and it’s something I wanted to continue when I joined the club,” he explained.
“Huge credit goes to the boys and the staff from day one - I know a few from England, but everyone has made me feel welcome from the start and I’m really happy to be here.
“I was an Arsenal fan as a kid - I had a lot of Arsenal kits when I was younger and there have been a few posts. You dream of playing for a big club like this, and when you see the players they’ve had throughout the years, to become part of that is what it’s about.”
Wednesday brings another titanic test for which to prepare, with our third league phase fixture around the corner against Bayern Munich in the Champions League.
With a 100 percent record, we are yet to concede in this season's competition - but Konsa noted the monumental threat of Vincent Kompany’s attack, including his national teammate Harry Kane.
“He’s a striker who can drop deep, go into midfield, drag players around, assist and score. And it’s not just him, they have Luis Diaz out wide, they have great players all over the pitch.
“It’s likely to be quite an equal game, but we have to focus on ourselves and go for the win.
“We’re 100 percent looking to win everything - win the Champions League - with the players and standards we have.”
