Fenerbahce are 20 minutes from normal time away from securing their first Champions League win of the season.

Their second half display has been thoroughly disappointing, marking a stark contrast to their bright start.

Still, they won’t care if they manage to cling on to this result.

Fenerbahce are really up against it as Slavia Prague mount relentless waves of pressure.

Barring that early opportunity for Nene, the hosts’ changes have failed to make an impact.

Suleiman is starting to make his mark, going close with a well-worked effort after some intricate build-up.

His shot gets deflected behind for a corner, and though Fenerbahce clear the danger, it is only briefly.

The attack finally dies down following a wayward strike from Isife.

HUGE SAVE!

The subs almost combine for an instant impact as Lukaku wins possession high up the pitch and tees up Nene with a brilliant cross.

The forward connects cleanly, but Markovic pulls off a superb save down to his right.

Slavia Prague are still in this!

SUB: Lukaku comes on to replace Muriqi.

SUB: Aydin’s evening is over as Nene takes his place.

SUB: Another change sees Isife replace Vlcek.

SUB: Slavia Prague make the match’s opening change, with Chytil coming on to replace Sturm.

Ayaosi carves out some room on the right and picks out Nowak in the penalty area, but Brown denies the goal-bound effort with a sharp block.

The visitors are building momentum as we approach the final stages, and Fenerbahce look ready to make a couple of changes.

YELLOW CARD!

Nowak goes into the book for cynically hauling down Guendouzi.

There is a real edge to the match now with so much on the line.

Greenwood has spent long stretches playing a lone hand despite his well-taken goal and occasional sparks of quality.

Getting him more involved is essential if the hosts are to up their attacking threat.

Fenerbahce aren’t looking likely to build on their lead right now, having surrendered possession at the start of the second half.

Slavia Prague are seeing plenty of the ball, though they need to make this period of dominance count.

Guendouzi is caught dwelling on the ball, allowing Ayaosi to rob him.

The visitors push forward, but the attack fizzles out as Provod scuffs an effort wide from the edge of the box.

The away side are still missing a cutting edge, while Fenerbahce need more quality in midfield if they are to see this out.

Fenerbahce hold a nine-to-seven advantage over Slavia Prague on total shots, but lag behind in open-play expected goals, posting 0.29 against their opponents’ 0.44.

Semedo manages to carve out space inside the area following a fine run, but his cross is successfully dealt with.

YELLOW CARD!

Skriniar goes into the book following a challenge on Kubiak, with the Pole requiring treatment for a few moments.

A quiet beginning to the second half, with both teams still working on finding their stride after the restart.

The away side get the second half underway, with neither manager making any changes at the break.

Everything is still to play for at the break, with both teams yet to claim a victory in this season’s Champions League.

Live win models give Fenerbahce an 81.4% chance of victory, while Slavia Prague sit at 4.4%.

A draw, which neither side will want, is rated at 14.4%.

The second half is just around the corner.

HALF-TIME: Fenerbahce 2-1 Slavia Prague (Champions League).

The home side started brightly and broke the deadlock inside four minutes via Aydin’s stunning left-footed strike from outside the area.

They doubled the advantage seven minutes later as Greenwood met Semedo’s pass with a half-volley.

Though largely second best during the opening quarter, Slavia Prague pulled one back when Guendouzi’s loose pass gifted Provod an opening he clinically buried.

The hosts have remained the more dangerous outfit, with Aydin firing narrowly off target from range.

But Sturm striking the side-netting with a late free-kick serves as a stark warning that this contest remains wide open.

Expected goals highlight a tight affair, with the Turkish side posting 0.40 to Slavia Prague’s 0.56.

HALF TIME: Fenerbahce 2-1 Slavia Prague

SO CLOSE!

Sturm wins a free kick right on the edge of the area after a foul by Skriniar.

He steps up to take the resulting set-piece himself, curling it round the wall and into the side-netting.

That was inches away from an equaliser!

Two minutes of added time will be played at the end of the first half.

Just before the interval, they manage to carve out an opportunity as Brown charges forward and picks out Muriqi in the area.

The striker chests it down and gets an effort away, but it’s straight at Markovic, who makes a comfortable save.

As the first half nears its end, Slavia Prague remain just a goal down even though Fenerbahce have largely dominated the play.

Barring Aydin’s effort, the hosts have found it tough to carve out openings lately.
