The former Ghana U-17 and U-20 international is currently plying his trade in the Uganda Premier League with Hoima city based Kitara Football Club.

He has since arrival in June openly expressed the desire to add to the rich history and legacy of Kitara FC, hitherto christened as the “Royals”.

“I yearn to make positive contribution to Kitara Football Club with great displays. Since I came here (in Uganda), I have been welcomed with open hands by my fellow players, officials, fans and the media. I feel at home and will work tirelessly for the glory of this club” Bonney speaks.

Kitara Football Club is currently engaged on two fronts in the Uganda Premier League and CAF Confederation Cup.

They tussle African giants Al Ahly Sports Club from Egypt for a two legged duel vying for a slot in the treasured group stages of the CAF Confederation Cup.

Bonney remains one of the players ready for selection having been involved in the two legs played against Somalia’s Mogadishu City Council during the first stage of the competition.

“We are active in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League and CAF Confederation Cup. We as players are all focused for the goal at hand.” Bonney hints.

Bonney commenced his career with Unistar Academy in Accra. He has since featured for Asante Kotoko, Ebusua Dwarfs and Accra Hearts of Oak, all in the Ghana Premier League.

Internationally, he has featured for the U-17, U-20 and Ghana Black Stars team with 20 overall caps under his name.

The other triumphs came in the Ghana MTN FA Cup with Hearts of Oak (2019) and Asante Kotoko (2013/14).

Bonney and the rest of the Kitara teammates are now keen for great results against African giants Al Ahly in the upcoming CAF Confederation Cup.
