How quickly things change.
When Rogers took advantage of Gravenberch’s blunder to put Chelsea in front with the first proper shot of the game – a fine spot-kick – Alonso’s side looked on course.
But then it went downhill rapidly.
Fofana’s madness, handling for no obvious reason, allowed Gakpo to level within three minutes.
And while Penders ensured Gakpo’s subsequent snapshot was repelled, Lacroix pinged his hamstring, badly, in the build-up.
Looks like he will be out for a while.
Still, after the utterly dreadful first half hour, at least there’s something to talk about at half-time.
